Bayside at a glance

From the resort to the locker

Start at the current station address: 240 Dogwood St, Parksville, BC.

Use the resort lot when day-guest parking is available and keep your phone ready for the Paddler App.

Follow the covered pedestrian path from the parking side toward the waterfront.

The upper hotel path gives you the best orientation before heading down toward the station.

Continue along the waterfront path; the locker should become visible before the final turn.

Recognize the PaddlePoint locker, then use your Paddler App booking when your rental starts.
What to bring

Your day bag
Water bottle, reef-safe sunscreen, a dry change, sandals or water shoes, hat, sunglasses and a waterproof phone case.
Rental gear
All paddle equipment and safety gear are included unless your booking says otherwise.
Ready before you arrive
Use the same account for booking, pickup, return and support. Your confirmation email and station QR code can reopen your booking if needed.
Complete the waiver when available before your rental begins.
Arrive about 15 minutes early. Open pickup starts at your booked start time.
Review wind, tide, daylight and comfort level. Onshore wind can add chop.
Keep 100 m from seals, give shoreline birds space, avoid dragging gear through eelgrass and pack out waste.

Return every item, close the assigned door, tap Returned and closed, then End Session.
What you will see at Parksville

Use the locker number shown in the Paddler App. The Paddler Guide explains the pickup steps if you need them.

Collect paddle, PFD / life jacket and any included gear from your assigned locker area. Do not take neighbouring equipment.

The water is close, but keep the board lifted on gravel and concrete.

Come back about 15 minutes before your booking end time, return the gear to your locker area, close the assigned door and tap Returned and closed.

Use the rinse and quick check before Returned and closed. Then End Session to close your rental.
Parksville water context
Parksville is beginner-friendly in calm conditions, but tide, wind and daylight still matter. Morning and mid-to-high tide are usually easier.

Plan here. Manage the rental in the app.
