From the shoreline

A few things change the whole paddle.

The best days are rarely complicated. They start with a readable place, a return plan and enough respect for changing water.

01

Wind changes the way home.

A light breeze can make the outward leg feel easy and the return feel long. Watch your drift, set a turn-around time and head back while the water still feels familiar.

02

The put-in belongs to the place.

Tide, shoreline, ferry traffic and the walk to the water are local. Read the location page instead of carrying one rule from one bay to another.

03

Dress for the water.

The air can feel warm while the water is still cold. Choose clothing for getting wet, not only for standing on shore.

04

Leave time for the return.

The paddle day includes the way back, the gear count, the locker and End Session. Turn around early enough to finish without rushing.

Local context

Read the place, not just the forecast.

The live location pages own the route, shoreline, local water notes and booking handoff. Read the one you plan to visit.
